Listening to Your Body: When It’s Time to Pivot from Keto

For years, my business and personal brand thrived within the keto community. It was my home—a space filled with people who shared the same goals and values around health and wellness. But when I realized it was time for me to shift away from full-time keto, I was scared.

Would I be ghosted? Judged? Pushed out of the very community that helped me grow?

Looking back now, I realize that keto—and the community around it—was never just about a set of macros or rigid rules. It’s about something far deeper: supporting your body in the most metabolically and hormonally sound way possible.

Breaking Out of the Box

Health is not one-size-fits-all, and it’s not about squeezing yourself into a box for the sake of consistency. True health comes from opening that box, exploring what’s outside, and finding what works for you in this season of life.

For me, that meant shifting away from a strict keto lifestyle and instead embracing a more flexible approach—cycling keto with fasting to better align with my body’s current needs.

It’s Okay If Keto Stops Working for You

If keto isn’t serving you anymore, that’s okay. Let me repeat that: it’s okay. Your life and your body are allowed to change, and you don’t have to apologize for it.

In fact, choosing to pivot is exactly what this community is about: finding the best way to support your health—not just sticking to a plan for the sake of it.

If someone doesn’t support you on that journey, it’s worth asking: Were they truly part of the keto community? Because the real community is about more than macros—it’s about encouragement, understanding, and growth.

The Fear of Change

I won’t lie—my fears were real. What if the people who supported me through my keto journey walked away when I decided to pivot? But you know what? The people who mattered stayed. They’ve continued to cheer me on, reminding me that this journey isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress and staying in tune with my body.

Listen to Your Body

If you’re at a crossroads in your health journey, know this: you’re not alone, and it’s okay to evolve. Your health journey is your own, and no one else can define it for you.

For me, shifting from full-time keto to a more balanced approach with fasting has been a game-changer. For you, it might look different—and that’s perfectly fine. The key is to listen to what your body is asking for and honor it.

The keto community helped me grow, and I’m grateful for the support I’ve received, even as I’ve made changes. Don’t let fear keep you from taking the next step in your health journey. Trust yourself. Your body knows what it needs.

PS: To everyone who has supported me from the beginning—you’re still here, and I’m endlessly grateful for you. 💕
